WCCS is now closed for the Easter holidays.

Below is the menu for Holy Week – Saturday 1st until Sunday 9th April 2023 – when the choristers only are in residence.


Saturday 1st

Supper

  • Fresh pasta with Chef’s tomato or pesto sauce
  • Fresh breads
  • Carrots
  • Mixed leaf salad
  • Fruit
  • Yoghurts

Sunday 2nd

Breakfast

  • Bacon and waffles
  • Porridge
  • Cereals

Lunch

  • Roast top side of beef with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, chef’s stuffing, horseradish sauce, gravy and mixed veg
  • Fruit
  • Carrot cake

Supper

  • Grilled marinated chicken thighs with rice, broccoli and green beans
  • Fruit
  • Yoghurt

Monday 3rd

Breakfast

  • Mixed pastries with sliced cheese and ham
  • Porridge
  • Cereals

Lunch

  • Sausage and mash with thyme and onion gravy and sweetcorn
  • Fruit
  • Yoghurt

Supper

  • Fish fingers and potato wedges with peas and carrots
  • Victoria sponge cake
  • Fruit
  • Yogurt

Tuesday 4th

Breakfast

  • Bacon rolls
  • Porridge

Lunch

  • Chef’s chicken stir fry with mixed vegetable noodles

Supper

  • Breaded chicken goujon wraps with guacamole, salsa and tortilla chips

Wednesday 5th

  • Packed lunch for choristers’ trip day

  • Mac n’cheese with sautéed vegetables and garlic bread

  • BBQ ribs with potato wedges, sweetcorn and coleslaw

  • Chef’s Passover special: Lamb shawarma with couscous, roosted vegetables, flat breads and hummus

Friday 7th

  • Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
  • Bagels
  • Toast

Lunch

  • Roasted salmon with baby new potatoes, green beans, carrots and salsa verde
  • Banana cake

Supper

  • Selection of vegetable sushi with crudités and breads
  • Fruit

Saturday 8th

Lunch

  • Roast pork loin with apple sauce, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, spring greens and carrots
