‘RESULTS HAVE BEEN TERRIFIC'
Here’s what Tatler’s School Guide 2012 had to say about
resurgent WCCS.
'When the WCCS choristers sang to Pope Benedict during his London visit, he became their newest fan. Music is certainly top here, but it's far from being the only string to the bow. 'Another stunning 13-plus exit list in 2011,' says the school website, and Common Entrance results have been terrific of late, with places won at Eton, Harrow, Westminster and Winchester, as well as Catholic strongholds Ampleforth and Downside. Lots of scholarships too. Under new head of games Jon Jenkins, the school's sporting dynamos won five times more matches last year than the one before and, if the skills we spied in the playground are anything to go by, last Easter's football tour of Barcelona must have been a huge success'. |
