MESSING
ABOUT ON THE RIVER
With packed lunch in hand and wellies on feet, Year 4 Geographers
travelled all the way to Wheathampstead on Thursday to explore
the wonders of the River Lea.
After completing fieldwork
activities in the village, they moved down to the river
bank and began their research. The boys have been studying
rivers for the last 5 weeks in class and now they finally
had the chance to get wet and muddy in a real river. They
had to test the width and depth of the Lea, as well as
learning how to measure the speed of the water by using
dog biscuits.
Glorious weather and some
excellent hard work made this a fantastic Geography day out.
Thank you to Mr Jenkins and well done to all of Year 4. We
look forward to seeing your results!
