AN EDUCATION AT ONE
OF LONDON’S TOP PREPARATORY SCHOOLS
Choristers at Westminster
Cathedral Choir School receive a first-class academic education from eight to thirteen (Years 4 to 8), at one of London’s
top boys’ preparatory schools, at a greatly reduced cost.
Financial assistance is available from the Choir Schools' Assocation, on a means-tested basis. For more information, please contact the Choir Schools' Association, here.
PROGRESSION TO BRITAIN’S
LEADING PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Almost all our choristers
go on to achieve major music scholarships at Britain’s leading
public schools.
ADMISSIONS AT 8+
Boys normally join in Year 4, aged 8 years, and are known
as ‘probs’, or probationers, for their first year. Admission follows informal and formal voice trials with the Master
of Music at Westminster Cathedral and academic and pastoral
assessments by the Head Master. The School offers about
six probationer places each year, so entry is highly competitive.
Please contact the Registrar, Miss Lucy Auger,
in the first instance.

Due
to the particular nature of the duties attached to Choristership
at Westminster Cathedral, and in accordance with the School's
designated status, all Probationers
and Choristers must be baptised and practising Roman Catholics.
FEES
Fees, payable termly and in advance, for the academic year 2012/13 are:
£2,619 (per term)
Boys who have been offered a chorister place, but need additional
financial support to take up their place at the School,
should contact Mrs Lesley Vigurs in the School office.
